The best way to explore Münsterland is on a bike. It is Germany's No. 1 cycling paradise and is known as "The Cycle Park Münsterland" With its excellently developed and well sign posted network of cycle tracks extending to over an area of over 4000 kilometres the cycle park is probably the biggest of its sort in the world.
For example, try the queen of all cycling routes - the 100-Palace Route. The route runs for over 1,000 kilometres, winding its way past 150 moated palaces, castles and manor houses. They can be picturesque, mysterious, formidable or hospitable each and every one of them worth a visit.
